plastic injection molded parts stress cracking

In some cases, having plastic injected parts that have been (or will be) molded-in stress can be acceptable. However, all 4 of these key factors (cost, turnaround time, stress/pressure application & volume production) need to align.

For example, if high volume production is critical for your project, but your parts must be able to withstand high stress/pressure applications then having your parts molded-in stress would mean your parts would eventually fail. Failing parts are not only extremely inefficient in terms of cost and turnaround time, they can also cause dangerous hazards, recalls, lawsuits, etc.
